The Renaissance Cathedral of Malaga

This church was completed at the end of the 18th century but looks a lot older. Maybe this is a consequence of the long construction period of more than 250 years. The tower and facade decorations are incredible, just look at the arched compartments constructed in white and red stones holding marble statues. The entrance door arch and facade have so many sculptures in it that we can not imagine how long craftsmen worked to achieve this.

At the left side of the cathedral, you have an entrance with two towers. They are erected with different materials and styles. It looks like it copied a style of the Roman Empire. The cathedral is surrounded by gardens containing orange trees and religious art.

  4. Looks just gorgeous. Hard to imagine construction sites of 250 years, although I know that this is true of many old churches. Amazing.

  5. Beautiful Cathedral. You captured it well. It sure did take a long time for it to be built, but I expect there were so many reasons.
