The balcony extravaganza of Valletta, Malta

Discovering the capital of Malta, we were astonished with the multitude of colourful balconies against the facades of Valletta houses. They come in all kinds of sizes, shapes and colours.

Some need a layer of paint but there are owners who proudly keep them in excellent shape. The city council should support the maintenance and oblige owners to keep them in a good state. This is the only place in the world we saw such an exceptional style. We are proud of our pictures and will look many times back at this blog.

  5. How interesting as you say never seen them in such numbers anywhere else. Great photos. Colourful and freshly painted; and tired tatty ones too all make a good photo.
